of shows and things

so I went to a show called "nothing like my mother" by Christine Corpuz
This one-woman show explores the contradictions we face each day and the means by which we choose to accept or deny, and laugh or cry, through their existence. Written and performed by UCSB alumna Christine Corpuz, MOTHER originally debuted at New York University's Graduate Acting Freeplay Festival in 2007. It was later produced by New York City's Nuyorican Poet's Café in 2008, being the first Asian-American one-person show by the company, and earning Corpuz an Audelco/Vivian Robinson Award nomination in Best Solo Performance. It was amazing!
